     James was born on 16 January 1908.¹ He married Eva Eudora Collins on 27 December 1936.¹ James Hugh Tabb died on 25 March 1994 at Trace Regional Hospital, Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, at age 86. He was buried on 27 March 1994 at Houston Cemetery, Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi.

     Eva was born at Concord, Calhoun County, Mississippi, on 25 September 1910.¹ She married James Hugh Tabb on 27 December 1936.¹ Eva Eudora Collins died on 4 June 1996 at Tupelo, Lee County, Mississippi, at age 85. She was buried on 6 June 1996 at Houston Cemetery, Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi.

     James was born at Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, on 20 October 1939.¹ He died on 29 April 1997 at Mississippi Firefighers Memorial Burn Unit, Delta Regional Med. Center, Greenville, Mississippi, at age 57. He was buried after 29 April 1997 at Houston Cemetery, Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi.

     Rosalynd was born on 11 October 1912.¹ She married Verne (Vic) Slay Eastridge on 16 June 1939. Rosalynd died on 23 October 1979 at Canton, Madison Coiunty, Mississippi, at age 67.¹ Her body was interred after 23 October 1979 at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, at Houston Cemetery.¹

     Verne was born at Claude, Texas, on 3 November 1914.¹ He married Rosalynd Sanderson Tabb on 16 June 1939. Verne died on 12 December 1983 at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, at age 69.¹ He was buried on 14 December 1983 at Houston Cemetery, Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi.

     Jeannie was born at Memphis, Shelby County, TN, on 5 July 1940.¹ She died on 5 June 1996 at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, at age 55. She was buried on 9 June 1996 at Houston Cemetery, Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi; She died of a heart attack.

     LETTER FROM LAUDIE TABB SHELL to MAX TIDMORE dtd. Aug 29, 1971

Houston, Miss August 29, 1971:

My dear Mr. Tidmore,
You will have to excuse my writing, as my eye sight and hearing are both failing, but I am thankful that my mind is still clear and my health fairly good. I am 94 years old.
I certainly can identify Lula Tabb. She was the wife of my oldest Brother born and lived here in Houston until after her husband William Austin Tabb died and all the children were grown, then moved to Memphis to live with her oldest daughter, Mrs. J. A. Fulmer. She was totally blind when she died in her mid mineties. My father was Daniel Davidson Tabb, son of John Hugh Tabb (not Henry).
The Alexander Tabb (Uncle Sandy) who moved from Miss to Mount Pleasant, Texas was my grandfather's brother. He also had another brother living here, an itinerant preacher with two sons Ben and Joe
I think we have a pretty accurate chart of the Tabb family but I don't have a copy. Jim Hugh is out of town but when he comes back I will give him the chart you sent me and can compare it with ours and then contact you if there is any need to. I know he will be gald to get the chart.

LAUDIE TABB SHELL

Laudie was a talented musician. Atrer graduating from Mississippi Normal College she taught music in the Mississippi schools. After her marriage she taught private piano lessons in her home. She was a member of the Methodist Church, and for many years she was the organist, taught Sunday School, and was active in the women's organizations of the church. She assisted her husband in the store and kept the books.

     Dugan owned and operated a retail grocery store in Houston. He was a Methodist and served on the Board of Stewards. He was a director of the Chickasaw County Bank, and was one of the incorporators of the Houston State Bank.

     He married Catherine Adrienne Shell.¹ Charles's occupation: Farmer/Dairyman..² Charles was born in 1896.^1,2 Charles died in 1969.¹

     Marion was born on 28 June 1875.^1,2,3 She married Daniel Calhoun Dulaney , Jr. on 14 October 1895.⁴ Marion died on 2 June 1906 at age 30.^1,3 Her body was interred after 2 June 1906 at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, at Houston Cemetery.^1,3

     Dan was co-owner and operator of the Dulaney and Tabb Hardware Store.

     James attended A&M College. He joined his father in the hardware business, and later in life traveled as a salesmen for the road supply house. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and served on the Board of Stewards. For a number of years he was a member of the Houston Board of Aldermen.

     After attending a business college in Memphis, TN, Fred worked for a year in a Tupelo Bank. He then served in World War I. When the Houston State Bank open January 1, 1920, he joined it as Assistant Cashier, later becoming a director and Cahshier, and was servign as Director and Executive Vice President at the time of his death. He was a Baptist, a Mason, a charter member of the Houston Exchange Club, and active in the business and civic affairs of his community.

     Irlene taught school for two years after graduating from MSCW. She then joined the Houston State Bank as a bookeeper, which position she held for fifty years. She was a member of the First Methodist, and for many years was Treasurer, taught Sunday School, and served on the Finance and other committees.

     She married Avery Eugene Tabb.¹ Hattie was born on 11 November 1885.^1,2 She was buried in June 1909 at Houston Cemetery, Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi.³ Hattie died on 16 June 1909 at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, at age 23.^1,2 Her body was interred after 16 June 1909 at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, at Houston Cemetery.²

     She married Earnest Beaugez.¹ Minnie was born at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, on 28 August 1907.¹ She died on 3 December 1988 at St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri, at age 81. She was buried after 3 December 1988 at Memorial Park, Jennings, St. Louis County, Missouri.

     Winfield's occupation: Druggist.. Winfield graduated. Winfield F. Tabb graduated from Mississippi Normal College and was a druggist in Houston. About 1892, thinking the opportunities greater there, he with his wife and three young sons moved to Henrietta, TX, where he had purchased a home and drug store. Four years later, following a short illness, he died. The bereaved widow brought his remains and the four children (a baby girl had been born to them in Texas) back to Houston where he was buried. They moved into the home of her parents, Judge and Mrs. Bates, where they had lived before going to Texas. Judge and Mrs. Bates were devoted grandparents, and Judge Bates tried hard to fill the place of the father they had lost. Scottie taught private piano lessons in the home.

     Willie was born at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, on 29 November 1865.^2,3,1 She married Thomas Benjamin Miller at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, circa 1886.^2,3 Willie died on 2 December 1894 at Clay County, Mississippi, at age 29.^2,1 She was buried after 2 December 1894 at Aatkins/Stephens Cemetery, Griffith, Clay County, Mississippi.¹

     He married W. Ackers.² Walter was born at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, in 1868.^3,4 Walter died on 9 November 1945 at Hardin County, Texas.^3,4,1 He was buried after 9 November 1945 at Hope Cemetery, Henrietta, Clay County, Texas.¹

     Arkansas died. Arkansas was born at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, in 1866.^1,2 She married (---?---) Murphree at Mississippi circa 1886.^1,2

     Ludie died. Ludie was born at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, in 1868.¹ She married (---?---) Ackers at Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, on 3 February 1892.^1,2

     Eston died. Eston was born at Cumberland County, Virginia.

     Henrietta was born on 25 July 1861. She married Beverly Tucker Crump on 13 October 1884. Henrietta died on 30 August 1949 at age 88.

     Annie was born at Amelia County, Virginia, on 21 April 1877. She married Richard Cassing Lee Moncure at Washington, District of Columbia, on 9 November 1903. Annie died on 15 January 1954 at Richmond, Henrico County, Virginia, at age 76.
